State Times NewsJAMMU: Crime Branch Jammu has registered a formal criminal case against two accused and concerned revenue officials for grabbing a piece of land measuring 3 Kanals in Channi Rama by cheating and forgery.As per an official spokesperson, Crime Branch has registered case against Gh Rasool, son of Ch Bhura, resident of Channi Rama Jammu; Rozia Begum, wife of Gh Rasool, resident of Channi Rama Jammu and concerned revenue officials for cheating and fraud by preparing fake documents of 3 Kanals land in Jammu with forged signatures.He further said, a written complaint was lodged by Jamait Ali, son of Ch Bhura, resident of Channi Rama Jammu against accused, stating that accused, who is real brother of complainant, in order to usurp 3 Kanals land in Channi Rama, Jammu which is un-partitioned amongst its co-sharers, manipulated the revenue records in connivance with some Revenue officials and prepared Nakal Khasra Girdhawari, as the complainant is one of the co-sharer of aforesaid property. He further alleged that accused has prepared a false affidavit by forging signature of Juma, son of Fagu, resident of Channi Rama, who is the paternal uncle of applicant, in order to grab land falling under Khasra No. 331 in village Channi Rama, Jammu. He further alleged that neither Juma swore the aforesaid affidavit nor he signed the same and the accused has forged signature of aforesaid Juma in the affidavit which was prepared by fraudulent means. The accused in criminal connivance with his wife also forged the signatures of witnesses viz Mohd Hussain and Ghulam Nabi on margins of the affidavit to grab aforesaid piece of land, he added.On receipt of instant complaint, a preliminary verification was conducted by Crime Branch, Jammu and allegations were prima facie established, as per revenue record of year 1977 and 1990, against the accused. A criminal case has been registered for in-depth investigation against the accused Gh Rasool, son of Ch Bhura, resident of Channi Rama Jammu; Rozia Begum, wife of Gh Rasool, resident of Channi Rama Jammu and concerned Revenue officials for omissions and commissions under the relevant sections of law, he told.
