STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: In continuation to the earlier orders issued from University of Jammu and in compliance to three weeks’ mandatory lockdown period due to COVID-19 as per the advisories issued by the various Government agencies from time to time, all Administrative and Academic activities, all hostels across all the campuses of the University, shall continue to remain completely closed till 14th April, 2020. It is to further inform that all examinations (Internal as well as external) scheduled till 14th April 2020 stand postponed. The Research Scholars pursuing research in different Departments/Offsite Campuses are advised not to visit their Departments and the Hostels and they shall work from their respective places of stay till 14th April, 2020 as no Scholar shall be allowed to avail any such facility during the said lockdown period. Furthermore, employees associated with essential services including the staff of the University Works Department, Landscaping Unit, University Health Centre, Security Wing etc. and those directly engaged in taking measures to control spread of COVID-19 shall continue to report to their respective duties. All required necessary safety measures shall however, be taken by the staff engaged for such duties and they will be engaged in staggered manner as far as possible. Those employees who are residing in the Campus may contact Dr Bharat Bushan, Medical Officer (Nodal Officer, COVID-19), JU and Capt. S R. Dubey,Chief Security Officer,JU for urgent or emergent need. All employees, however, shall ensure that they are easily accessible and report to their duties as and when called for and shall not leave the station without prior permission.
