Court seeks report regarding status of Himayat scheme in J&K, Leh

JAMMU: A Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir High Court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Sindhu Sharma, in a PIL, directed Ministry of Rural Development Department, Government of India to file a status report regarding Himayat scheme in Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Seeking information about distribution of programme, the DB also issued notice to Commissioner/Secretary, Rural Development Department, Union Territory of Ladakh. DB further directed the Commissioner/Secretary, Rural Development Department, Governments of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to file status report regarding working of Himayat Scheme in the UTs, within four weeks from today.
