STATE TIMES NEWSRAMBAN: Ashok Kumar, Former Legislature Ramban along with locals staged a protest along with the local of Sarthi(Ramban) against Chief Engineer Road and Building (R&B) and urged upon the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir for the early completion of Link Road (Kunfer to Sarthi) under NABARD along with proper blacktopping and drainage and the completion of remaining stretch of road.Ashok said that patients, school/college students and pregnant women are suffering badly from last 7 years due to dilapidated condition of the link road. Government of Jammu and Kashmir has spent Rs. 2.05 crore so far for the construction of 3km link road under NABARD. However, the condition of link road is still deteriorated and inaccessible for light vehicles.Ashok further said that Road and building (R&B) along with (PWD) department has not taken any measures for repair work, blacktopping and construction of drains along the link road from Kunfer to Sarthi village. He has strongly demanded that Chief engineer R&B (PWD) should take immediate steps for giving direction to concerned authorities of R&B division Ramban in this regard.Ashok has strongly demanded that the compensation of land of Kunfer-Sarthi link road should be given to all land owners who have given their valuable agriculture land for the construction of link road. He also stress upon the concerned authorities that the Kunfer-Sarthi link road should be completed up to third Kilometer and it’s extension should be given upon to Sawani touching PMGSY road at Sawani as lower Sawani village has not been connected to any road so far.
