Manmohan DharCongress really can’t blame others for its debacle . The ignominious failure is home made. The party has been struggling for its existence since the days of emergency. And this hard fact needs to be taken a well cognizance of, by the stalwarts of the sinking ship before it is totally out of their hands.Bharat is a democracy and it needs a very strong and energetic opposition for the overall development and growth of the Country. And this very important factor is evading the present political scene of Bharat for the time being. And, no doubt it is very sad state of affairs.Let us try to analyse the setback of the age old political party on the basis of its leadership. As we all know that Indira Gandhi was one of the most popular faces that congress ever had after Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Lal Bahadur Shastri. In the year 1975 Indira Gandhi imposed nationwide emergency just to save her Government. But this drastic step of putting the country under an unprecedented siege cost her the Govt. in the year 1977. The emergency that Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had imposed in 1975, effectively suspended democracy, suppressed the opposition, and took control of the media with authoritarian measures. A hurriedly formed Janta Party alliance won 298 seats and formed Govt. under the leadership of Morar Desai. Both Indira Gandhi and her son Sanjay Gandhi lost their seats. This, in fact, was the begining of the end. But 1980 brought a refreshed hope in the Congress cadre when Indira Gandhi was re elected as the Prime Minister and the writing on the wall, that after Indira it will be very difficult for the party to survive, was ignored. After her assassination and as a result of a sympathy wave, a novice to politics got the reigns of power and ruled the Nation just because he happened to be the son of the assassinated leader. Rajeev Gandhi was a pilot and had no interest whatsoever in the Indian politics. But destiny had to play a very vital role in the political fate of Bharat. He was sworn in as the PM of Bharat with almost no political and leadership expertise. But who knew Sonia Gandhi’s involvement in Bharat’s public life which began after the assassination of her mother-in- law and her husband’s election as prime minister would turn into such a bitter pill that every Bhartiya would have to swallow. As the Prime Minister’s wife, she acted as his official hostess and also accompanied him on a number of state visits. This was where Bharat saw a regime indirectly in the hands of someone who originally did not even belong to Bharat, and it was here that big names in the Congress party got enslaved to a foreigner. From here started the unending meltdown of the INC. The advent of BJP take over, proved to be the last nail in the coffin of the INC. Congressmen themselves dug the grave for Congress when they nominated Rahul Gandhi as their party leader.Unwarranted for and illogical statements made by Rahul Gandhi against the PM Narindra Modi back lashed and boomeranged on him and it became very difficult at times for him to defend it. It was a sort of self-knit web that proved to be detrimental for him to project himself as a leader of opposition. In fact it was this hatred game plan that led to his resignation as the president of the congress party. In today’s scenario there is a clear cut vacuum and it looks as if it is going to take decades before congress can at least prove the very existence as a political party on the National political arena.Rahul, it seems, cannot himself formulate strategies for confronting the giant politician and statesman like Narindra Modi. There is definitely someone who either doesn’t know the trade trick or he or she is definitely trying to mislead him so that the job gets easier for them to take over the control of the Party. How can a 50 year old adult confuse the people by saying that he will invent a machine wherein we can put potatoes from one side and Gold will come out from the other. This is so ridiculous. But may be it was a result of political frustration or there is definitely someone trying to pull his leg and make him cut a sorry figure. ( Dal mein kuch kala hai, ya fir puri ki puri Dal hi kali hai.)Making fun of PM by calling him ‘Chor’ ( Chowkidaar Chor hai ) was a self goal. And then what ever was left was completed by rest of the so- called stalwarts of Congress like Sandeep Dixit, Mani Shanker Iyer, Sanjay Nirupam, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Dig Vijay Singh, Randeep Singh Surjewala and the likes thereof. Questioning the Balakot attack and calling the Army Chief as ‘Sadak ka Gunda’, calling the Rafael deal as ‘Sell Out’ and blaming PM directly for imbuzzlement of Rupees Thirty Crores by putting them in Anil Ambani’s pocket and other things like that, proved to be a shot in the dark.Rahul Gandhi should have been educated by the people who always wander around him left and right that guesses and unsubstantiated declarations are not going to help him in his persuit to attain a place in the political circles. Either there is a deep rooted conspiracy to get rid of Gandhis or there is a definite plan to derail the political ambitions of the last Yuvraj.Referring to the scene in Maharashtra, it is definitely going to backlash. Not only on Uddhav Thakrey but also on NCP and very very badly on Congress. A nighmarish exit, it seems, is on the cards for Uddhav Govt. It will not only spoil the political carrier of Uddhav but also that of his most aspirant son Aaditya Thakrey.
