STATE TIMES NEWSRAMBAN: Commissioner Secretary to Government department of Labour & Employment, Sourabh Bhagat on Tuesday conducted an extensive tour of district Ramban to listen the grievances of public besides redressing the same at their doorstep in first phase of massive public outreach programme being launched by the government across the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.He directed the officers of Labour and Employment department to put sincere efforts for providing all benefits of schemes to deserving people besides sensitizing them about welfare schemes during ongoing Jan-Abhiyan as well as Back to Village-3 programmes.Commissioner Secretary also chaired a meeting attended by the Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan, Labour Commissioner, Abdul Rashid War, Secretary JKBOCWWB, Muzaffar Ahmed Peer, ALC Rakesh Arora, AD Employment Naresh Kumar and reviewed the progress scheme wise.He thoroughly reviewed the achievements being made by the Labour and Employment department under different schemes sponsored by the centre as well as UT government.He directed the ALC to accelerate the speed of registration of construction workers with JKBOCWWB under Mission Mode Project (MMP) so that they can avail the benefits from various financial assistance schemes launched by the government.He also distributed labour card and financial assistance amounting to Rs. 19 Lakh under different schemes among 253 beneficiaries.DDC apprised the Commissioner Secretary that department has disbursed an amount among 7216 registered construction workers Rs. 2,78,33,000 during lockdown in four installments besides Rs. 1,00,28,000 under lower education, Rs. 57,35,000 under Death and Funeral , Rs. 6,06,200 to chronic patients, Rs. 1,38,750 under Disability and Rs. 1,30,000 under Higher Education schemes.Earlier AD Employment and ALC have briefed the chair about achievements under MMP and status of implementation of PM-SYM.
