JAMMU: J&K State Government Clerical employees on Wednesday rejected the announcement of 7th Pay Commission and extended strike upto April 28, 2018.
On the third consecutive day of three-day pen down strike, the clerical cadre across the State observed complete Kaam Choro Hartal on the call given by Coordination Committee Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association.While speaking in the programme organized in support of removal of Pay Anomalies of clerical cadre, Babu Hussain Malik, Ravi Singh Bhau, Nazir Bhat, Bharat Bushan, Anil Mehta, Sukhbir Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Ashok Singh, Yash Paul Sharma, Bharat Bushan Kotwal, Meenakshi Shama, Ravi Kumar, Mohd Saleem, Munish Kumar Mohd Latief, Onkar Verma, Arun Shama, Ansuya Gupta, Umar Jan, Sewa Ram Rathore, Ashish Sharma, Kuldeep Kotwal, Yash Sharma, Farida Bano, Kirpal Singh, Vikas Chander, Mukhtiyar Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Mohammad Sadiq, Naresh Sharma, Om Parkash, Sandeep Singh, Shamsher Singh, Darshan Angurana, Sham Lal, Ali Mohammad, Uday Singh Pathania, Vijay Kumar, Mangal Singh and Anu Raina alleged that despite assurances, the government has back-tracked and not honoured its commitment despite the directions of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir keeping in view the association has rejected the announcement of 7th Pay Commission by the Finance Department.
The Association appealed to the clerical cadre to observe complete strike upto April 28, 2018, and lodge protest in their office complexes against the callous attitude of government and to assemble on April 27, at Press Club, Jammu, to Gherao Civil Secretariat.
