The essence of famous adage ‘Birds of a feather flock together’ has lately become true for all weather allies China and Pakistan as both these countries are complimenting each other in showing deceit and deception against India whenever and wherever possible. The treacherous gimmicks of these nations have become a new norm with China supporting Pakistan without any conditions and Pakistan toeing China’s line even at the cost of its self interest. In this series of so called ‘good ties’, the Dragon has come out with an expected line of supporting Pakistan though on the issue which is crystal clear among almost all the nations of the world that Pakistan is a hub of terrorism and every terror attack whether it has taken place in the eastern world or the extreme west in one way or the other has some sort of connection with this rogue nation and this statement in itself is so worthy that there is no need to give accounts of the attacks. Not surprisingly, China has claimed on Friday that its close ally Pakistan has made ‘tremendous’ efforts, ‘sacrifices’ in fighting terrorism. The staunch support of Pakistan by China is nothing but a ‘ludicrous stand’ having no takers in entire world except China itself and according to his call the ‘terror fighter’ Pakistan. But in actual, as India knows and so also USA that Pakistan is the fertile land which germinates ‘fighters’ known as Jihadis in numbers which are uncountable and flush them out in all the directions possible to unleash terror and spread tentacles of terrorism, for which the country is famous for. Strangely Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian on Friday has asked the international community to fully recognise and respect Pakistan for its endeavours against containing terrorism. In a veiled support to Pakistan, Zhao said, “Our country is not in favour of hypocrisy on counter-terrorism and is against all attempts to link terrorism to any specific country”. This kind of support to India’s first and foremost enemy Pakistan by China is something which is to be taken very seriously especially in context with current escalation of situation along LAC in eastern Ladakh and spurt in ceasefire violations by Pakistan. Although, India and China have agreed on five points to guide their approach to the situation on LAC including the disengagement of troops during talks betwixt External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi in Moscow but the ties which China enjoys with Pakistan makes it significant for India to always remain cagey while tackling these two nations as both of them are highly unpredictable and unreliable.
