State Times News REASI: CGM, NABARD, Jammu, P Balachandarn visited Krishi Vigyan Kendra(KVK ), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) and interacted with the scientists of KVK. Scientist & Head of KVK, Reasi, Dr.Banarsi Lal briefed the activities of KVK and said that KVK, Reasi is endavouring for commercial organic farming, scientific poultry farming, commercial floriculture, pulses, oilseeds etc. He said that KVK is catering the farming needs of the farmers of both Udhampur and Reasi districts and upgrading the agricultural skills among the farmers. He also apprised about the projects handled by the KVK. Dr.Sanjay Kaushal discussed the potential of organic farming in the district and highlighted skill development programmes on vermicomposting. CGM visited Krishi Vigyan Kendra( KVK), Reasi farm and appreciated the KVK efforts for the farming community. He encouraged the KVK scientists to work with full enthuse for the farming community. He stressed on the commercial floriculture and vermicomposting. He suggested the KVK scientists to upgrade the farmers with the latest agricultural technologies so that their crops production can be increased.CGM also visited the exhibition stall of KVK, Reasi and appreciated the technologies demonstrated by KVK,Reasi. Dr. Arvinder Kumar , Manohar Lal and others were also present during the visit.
