STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Jammu President, Rakesh Gupta; Chairman J&K Transport Welfare Association, T S Wazir and Chairman J&K Kissan Council, Rajesh Sharma accompanied by office bearers of CCI and Transport Associations met Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chauhan and SSP Jammu, Tejinder Pal Singh on Saturday. The Deputy Commissioner conveyed message of the Governor to visiting delegation that a meeting has been fixed on September 19, 2019 in Srinagar by the Governor wherein stakeholders shall be invited in presence of concerned officers of the departments to resolve various issues and demands, in support of which CCI has given Bandh call for September 16 (Monday). After threadbare discussions, Rakesh Gupta, Wazir and Rajesh Sharma were assured that in future before taking any policy decisions, all stakeholders shall be consulted first. “On assurance of the Governor as conveyed by the District Administration, it was decided to defer Jammu Bandh call for September 16. The future course of action shall only be decided after purposed meeting with the Governor,” Gupta informed.
