STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Bahu Branch on Tuesday organised a quiz competition ‘Bharat Ko Jano’ base on General Knowledge at New Era Mother High School, Nanak Nagar, here. Students from New Era Mother High School, Nanak Nagar, Jammu, Rainbow Public School, Rampura, Gandhi Nagar Jammu , Jammu Sanskrit School, Kothe Ismailpur, Government Middle School, Railway Station and Jeevan Jyoti Public School, Marble Market, A total of eight teams in both the categories i.e. Senior/Junior took part in the competition. Convenor, M L Vaid and State Financial Secretary, T C Taggar conducted the competition. In senior category, New Era Mother High School stood first, Jammu Sanskrit School second and Rainbow Public School Rampura stood third. In Junior category, Jeevan Jyoti Public School bagged first place, New Era Mother High School got second and Govt Middle School, Railway Colony stood third. Trophies were given to all the winners. Chairman of the host school, Dr. H. R. Sharma was the Chief Guest. The prograame started with welcome address by Purshottam Gupta, Branch President, followed by lamp lighting and Vandemataram. Amita Sharma State President of BVP, Ranu Sahu, Vijay Sharma, K.K Khajuria, Pratap Singh Arora, B D Gupta and other members of Bahu Branch and teachers and students of the concern school attended the function. R.K Sahu, Secretary of the Branch presented the vote of thanks.
