STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Giving a slip to unwary police at Police Post Sarwal, burglars struck during the intervening night of 2nd and 3rd April, 2016 at a temple adjacent to the police post and decamped with cash amounting to Rs. 17,480 and eight silver Chhatrs. According to information, the burglary at Sarwal temple was noticed in the morning. The management of the temple informed the police that the cash to the extent of thousands of rupees and silver ornaments were stolen from the temple. The police reached the spot and after collecting the circumstantial evidences, registered a case for investigation. Meanwhile, a large number of women from Subhash Nagar area held a protest against the theft occurred in the temple adjacent to Police Post Sarwal. In this regard, police registered a case vide FIR No. 61 under Sections 457 and 380 at Police Post Sarwal and started further investigation.
