STATE TIMES NEWSKATHUA: The residents of village Changachak in the border sector of Hiranagar resented the casual attitude of administration towards their sufferings as the bunkers provided in the village for taking shelter during ceasefire violations by Pakistan, are waterlogged. “Villagers spend their nights in the bunkers standing upright”, they alleged.They also alleged that there was no light also and said that such a facility provided by the government for saving the lives of villagers, is sheer wastage of funds.The villagers including Nanak Chand, Ram Lal, student Diksha Sharma and many others said that the bunker is by itself a death trap. They appealed to the Administration to depute the concerned officers to verify the utility of these bunkers and suitable action should be taken so that these bunkers serve the purpose for which the same were constructed.
