STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Bollywood actress cum social activist Preeti Sapru, Jay Pradha and Tej Saproo, actor and director on Tuesday joined the valedictory function of sports meet organised in the memory of Vishal Batt and Arun Tickoo at migrant township, Jagti Nagrota, near here. Preeti Sapru was the Chief Guest and Tej Sapru and Gurdeep Singh Sasan, a lawyer and Chairman Childrens Welfare Society J&K, who sponsored the event, were Guests of Honour. Vijay Parimoo from New Jersey USA also sponsored the function. Rampaul Dogra, social activist and Anita Chandpuri social worker were among the special invitees. The cricket and volleyball tournament started from January 5 to 7, 2019 in which eight seniors and 16 juniors teams participated. The Jagati Kasmmiri Pandit Migrants Committee and local youth participated in this tournament. In volleyball, Jagati A remained winner against Seven Stars while in cricket Junior Nagrota Knight Riders beat Jammu Lions Seniors Cricket Club and won the trophy. Trophies to all winner teams were given by the Chief Guest. Preeti Sapru appreciated the efforts of Sonu Zuthshi, Rohit Pandita and Sudhir Padha for organising the tournament at Jagati in order to raise a sports habit among youth. Family members of Vishal offered a Kashmiri Fehran to Tej Sapru and Preeti Saproo. Sudhir Padha anchored the programme and Sonu Zuthisi presented vote of thanks.
