BJP has accepted defeat before elections: Harsh

UDHAMPUR: Infuriated over brazen display of money and muscle power by BJP during election campaign in Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency, Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman JKNPP and former Minister launched a blistering attack on the Saffron brigade for disrupting the programme of NPP at Gordhi in Ramnagar segment of the constituency here on Wednesday. “You have succumbed to your failures. Now, you are resorting to gutter-level politics by disrupting our programme. It seems that you have accepted your defeat before elections,” Harsh admonished BJP. He was staging a protest against Saffron Party for quelling the voice of Jammu region.
Later, he addressed public meetings at Bharmeen, Dhandal, Dalpad, Roun Domail, Khu Nallah segments of Ramnagar in Udhampur LS constituency.
Singh revealed that BJP had been using money and muscle power to manipulate ongoing Lok Sabha elections. He said that despite permission granted to Panthers Party to hold public meeting at Ghordi at 11:00 AM today, the BJP activists along with some goons disrupted NPP programme by flouting the guidelines of MCC imposed by ECI.
Adjuring ECI and the RO of Udhampur constituency in particular, Harsh Dev Singh called upon them to take stringent action against Dr Jitendra Singh and his goons for violating the Model Code of Conduct. “BJP had made a contemptuous mockery of the MCC. Dr Jitendra Singh is scared of getting exposed for his political incompetence. BJP is overtly using money and muscle power to disrupt the opposition’s rallies in an attempt to manipulate the elections. It is hell bent to scuttle the democracy for its petty political interests. People have seen their real draconian face. They will now rout this ‘fascist party’ on the judgement day i.e., April 18,” Harsh said.
Lambasting BJP for its surrenders, he said that Saffron Party had played treachery upon people of Jammu region. “It took a U-turn on not only its election promises but its core fundamentals for power sake. It indulged in declamatory, bombastic talks during elections only to befool them for vote politics. Release of numerous stone-pelters in Kashmir, amnesty to anti-nationals by calling them political prisoners, appeasement of anti-national elements and separatists, humiliation of armed forces, dishonour of national symbols and flag, insult to Dogra pride and honour were the bitter memories that would force people to give them a befitting reply,” said Harsh, urging locals to people to vote and support Panthers Party in the Lok Sabha elections. “Only we can relieve you from this Saffron menace,” claimed Harsh.
