STATE TIMES NEWS BILLAWAR: Continuing its protest against central government on price hike in petrol and diesel, Former Minister & President DCC Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma on Friday held a peaceful protest at Ramkote area of assembly Billawar. While speaking on the occasion Dr Sharma said that rising prices of petrol & diesel can be termed as organized loot by BJP. He said it is shamefully that when prices of crude oil per barrel are all time low then also instead of decreasing fuel prices BJP government is regularly increasing them and termed it as money extortion process from the public. While lambasting the government Manohar said that public will not tolerate this loot by the Modi government and demanded immediate roll back of the rising prices. Others present on the occasion were Master Rashid, Chmal Singh, Surinder Abrol, Sarpanch Joginder, Kumar, Anil Kumar, Nab Deep, Puran Sarpanch, Sarpanch Surinder Verma, Ex Sarpanches Bhudhi Singh, Ajit Singh, Karan Singh Shiv Kumar, Romesh Spolia , Shiv Kumar Kapoor Ex Sarpanch, Mohinder Kumar Vice President Youth Cong, Ex Sarpanch Hans Raj and Ex Sarpanch Parkash Singh Meanwhile Congress workers also submitted a memorandum to the Tehsildar city in view of the rising prices of petrol and diesel. Congress leader Khushboo Bhagat, Pankaj Dogra, Congress Party’s city block President Sat Paul Bhandari, Senior Congress leaders Kulbhushan, Mahendra Paul Sharma, Tarsem Seni were present. Another protest was organized by the Former MLC Subash Gupta Ex DCC President Kathua in which Gardhri Lal Chalotra Ex MLA, Gurdyal Singh, Dewan Khajuria, Ramesh Verma Councilor, Vinay Sharma Sarpanch, Sat Pal Bhagat Sarpanch, Jag ram Sarpanch, Bhushan Sangra, Veena Devi, Ramesh Kundel, Parveen Bhagat, Sat pal Sharma, Surinder Singh Ex Sarpanch, B L Kandlay, Ashok Kumar, Som Nath Verma, Ram Lal Ex Sarpanch, Bisember Dass, Basakhi Ram, Balbir Chand Panch, Yash Pal Sharma, Narinder Rathor, Harbhaj Sharma, Mahesh Sharma, Kamal Gupta, Yash Pal Singh, Om Parkash and Param participated. Carrying placards, protesters raised slogans against BJP Govt and submitted a memorandum to S D M demanding rollback of hiked prices of fuels.
