STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti J&K organised its 31st State Sports Meet in the disciplines of Speed Ball (U-14 boys) and Taekwondo (U-14 & U-17 boys/girls) in Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Amphalla here on Wednesday. In all, 30 players of Udhampur, Hiranagar, Dashmesh Nagar and Jammu zones participated in the events of solo, single, double and relay. Dashmesh Nagar Jammu won three events while Udhampur won one. The players will now participate in north zone competition going to be held in Chandigarh from August 25. The prize distribution was held in the school in which medals and certificates were awarded to the players by Subash Verma, (Retd) Assistant Director Fire and Emergency Services J&K in presence of Pradip Kumar, Prant Sangathan Mantri BSS J&K, Samir Krishan Saproo Office Secretary, Pradip Tripathi Prant Zila Nirikshak, Kuldip Raj Prant Pramukh Khelkud and Reena Rajput Principal of the School, Prant Samiti Members. All the School Management Committee Members and parents attended the inaugural ceremony. Pradip Kumar, Sangathan Mantri presented the work and activities of Vidya Bharti Schools in J&K.
