STATE TIMES NEWS Jammu: Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu & Kashmir under the aegis of its President Arun Chowdhary along with his team of executive members distributed ration amongst 40 labourer families near Tehsil office Bhalwal, here on Saturday. The labourers were living in most miserable conditions and doing menial jobs in villages around Jammu. After imposition of lockdown to contain coronavirus, they lost their livelihood and want to go back to their native places (UP/Bihar), but were unable to move due to imposed restrictions. Presently, they were living in abysmal conditions in a jungle, under open skies without any shelter and virtually starving to death. Taking cognizance of matter, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu and Kashmir took the task to fulfill their needs regarding ration and other essentials. The organisation also requested the authorities to send aforesaid labourers back to their native places and in the meantime, provided shelter to poor labourers for saving them from onslaught of hot weather and weather vagaries. Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu and Kashmir pledged to provide all possible assistance towards needy until they are sent back to their native places.
