STATE TIMES NEWSAKHNOOR: As part of Mission Reach Out, army organised a Quami Ekta Meet with prominent personalities and religious teachers of Akhnoor district. The Meet aimed at fostering communal harmony and brotherhood between locals irrespective of caste, religion and faith. The gathering was convinced of the fact that the Army is working towards continuous development of the area and its people, to include infrastructure development, social welfare, education and religious harmony. Post the interaction, Indian Army also distributed gifts and sweets to the poor and underprivileged people. The conclave appreciated the effort of Army in bridging the hearts of people from different communities. The meeting also gave the feel of the pulse of the local Awam.
