STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: COVID-19 crisis has gripped the whole nation and has brought down the entire education system of the country to a virtual halt. Prolonged closure of schools has driven most of the academic institutions to graduate towards online and virtual mode to reach out to the students. However, its reach is limited when it comes to remote areas with poor internet connectivity and especially dealing with students residing in far flung areas. Pinewood School, Hamirpur in District Rajouri (J&K) being run under the aegis of Indian Army has taken the onus of bringing education to the door steps of all students. As a modest beginning, books and related study material were distributed to students located in villages Chor Gali, Bharwayani Gali and Gatari Nakra. The local populace and children whole heartedly appreciated the noble gesture of the men in uniform.
