STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: Army constructed a Water Supply Scheme with storage tank for the villagers of Basoni in Poonch District to provide essential support infrastructure for the needy villagers who have been suffering due to water scarcity in the border village. The water supply scheme with a storage tank of 4000 Litres capacity was established to store water during the summer months when water shortage is at the highest. The project is a boon for the villagers and approximately 40 villagers will be benefitted by this water supply scheme. Mohd Saffir, Sarpanch, Basoni inaugurated the scheme in presence of dignitaries from civil administration and Army. A number of villagers and various elected representatives were also present. During informal interaction, the villagers expressed their gratitude and appreciation towards Indian Army for providing the much-needed facility.
