STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: To provide quality medical care to the population of remote areas of Poonch District, army organised a ‘Medical, Dental and Veterinary Camp’ at Loran in Poonch District. The aim of the camp was to extend medical services to the people and animals of villages Loran and adjoining areas. A team of 10 doctors from Army and District Health Department, Poonch including an Eye Specialist, Medical Officer and Veterinary Officer provided medical treatment to the people. Medicines for basic ailments were also distributed. Major General PS Bajwa, General Officer Commanding Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo), inaugurated the camp and interacted with the populace. At the outset a number of awareness stalls were placed to give information on various diseases to include leprosy, HIV, vaccination, hygiene and sanitation aspects to the villagers.
