STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: The government on Wednesday cancelled the appointment of two candidates appointed to the Junior Scale of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service. “On the recommendations of the J&K Public Service Commission conveyed vide letter Nos. PSC/Ex-16/KAS dated September 6, 2019 and October 15, 2019, 273 candidates were appointed to the Junior Scale of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, Jammu and Kashmir Police (G) Service and Jammu and Kashmir Accounts (G) Service and in the appointment order, it was interalia ordered that the candidates who fail to join within the stipulated period of 21 days from the date of issuance of the order shall forego their right to appointment and their appointment shall be cancelled forthwith,” reads the GAD order.
It added, “The two candidates, Gurpreet Kour, daughter of Seva Singh, resident of 385-Upper Beli Charana, Jammu and Mudasir Ahmad Farooqi, son of Sheikh Ahmad, resident of Paisan Chittergul, Shangus, who were appointed vide Government Order No. 1015-GAD of 2019 dated September 13, 2019 and allotted Junior Scale of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, have failed to join within the aforesaid prescribed period, the appointment of the aforesaid two candidates is hereby cancelled abinitio.”
