STATE TIMES NEWS PATNITOP: All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) sought extension of school grading mechanism in J&K, an initiative of the District Administration Doda for revolutionising and reforming education sector. In a meeting held here on Sunday, Dev Raj Thakur, State President of the Federation and State General Secretary, Rattan Sharma impressed upon the whole teaching fraternity to read carefully the draft of ‘New Education Policy’ besides submitting necessary suggestions to the HRD Ministry. The organisation has also received some suggestions from its delegates, which will be submitted to the concerned Ministry at the earliest, they added. They further informed that the national-level three-day conference of ‘Shikshak Mahasangh’ will be held at Gujarat in November and also briefed the participants about purpose of the conference. They further told that the national-level executive meet of the Mahasangh will be held at Dehradun in June to submit the charter of demands to the Prime Minister, HRD Minister, Governor, Advisor and Commissioner/Secretary Education through the respective Deputy Commissioners on July 15 throughout the country. They urged the district units to take advance appointments of their respective Deputy Commissioners for discussing the charter of demands with them in detail. The meeting was attended by a number of delegates of two Vibhags Udhampur-Ramban and Doda-Kishtwar and from four districts including Udhampur, Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban. Others present on the occasion included Rattan Sharma, Kartar Chand, Satya Bhusham Sharma, Neeraj Parihar, Arvind Sen, Mohan Singh Parihar, Sanjay Sharma, Rameshwar Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Parkash Chand, Manjeet Singh, Dharam Singh, Vipan Sharma, Joginder Singh, Jagdish Kumar and Ved Raj.
