SPORTS REPORTER JAMMU: The title bout of 6th annual Bhabber (Dera) Dangal ended in a draw after Ajay Sharma of Udhampur held Muneer of Nagrota by fighting a tough bout that lasted for 25 minutes at Bhabber Chowk in Reasi. Both wrestlers were presented with Rs 11,000 as cash prize by the organisers, Bhabber Dangal Committee. The J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association supported the event which held under the overall supervision of Sarpanch Bodh Raj Sharma and President of the Committee, Pandit Som Dutt. In all, 40 bouts took place in this day-long event. Former Joint Secretary of J&K Sports Council and vice president Indian Style Wrestling Association of India as also president of Kreeda Bharti J&K, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the Chief Guest, who distributed cash prizes among the winner and runners-up wrestlers. Sarpanch Bodh Raj Sharma, social worker Deep Singh (Pinka), Naib Tehsildar Reasi, Baldev Raj and Sub- Inspector B.K. Sharma were the Guests of Honour. Chowkidar Dewan Chand was also present on the occasion. In the second main bout, Rashid of Domana Akhara defeated Bablu of Basantgarh while Nadeem of Doda trounced Mohd. Sadiq of Domana Akhara. The fourth bout went to Surjeet Singh of Narkote (Reasi) who defeated Panku of J&K Police. Members who helped for conduct of this one day wrestling event include Sarpanch Pandit Som Dutt (president) Mohd. Sadiq, Sudesh Kumar, Ghulam Nabi, Chuni Lal, Sanjay Kumar, Ram Krisha, Yash Paul (Bittu), Naib-Sarpanch, Ashok Kumar (Shotu) and Gul Mohd. Other Results: Akram of Chowadoi beat Swarn Singh of Kot Bhalwal Jammu, Subash of Narkote (Reasi) beat Rinku of Domana Akhara Jammu, Jamat Ali of Jatti beat Hossiar Singh of J&K Police, Rajinder Singh of Mahore beat Thappa of Doda, Billa of Gajansoo beat Bir Singh of J&K Police Reasi. Bouts played between Bharat Bushan of Jammu and Dalip Singh of Narkote Reasi and Chain Singh of Narkote Reasi and Kharpu of Jammu ended in a draw.
