STATE TIMES NEWS RAMBAN: Like other parts of the country, the Department of Agriculture Ramban celebrated World Soil Health Day in the premises of Agriculture complex Ramban to make the farmers aware about status of fertility in the soil besides recommending use of essential nutrients. The programme was presided over by Chief Agriculture Officer, RK Hateshi. District SMS, MN Sharma, SDAO, MG Singh, Agriculture Extension Officer, Raman Gupta besides number of farmers participated in the programme. CAO highlighted various soil health schemes launched by the government for welfare of farmers community. He advised the farmers to use fertilizers as per the dosage recommended in the soil health card so that soil health can be maintained. Farmers appreciated this move of the department and evinced keen interest in the awareness programme. Later, the department distributed soil health cards among the farmers.
