STATE TIMES NEWS BHADARWAH: ABVP unit of Govt Degree College Bhadarwah paid tributes to the Babasahib Dr B R Ambedkar in the college on his Death Anniversary week. Govind Singh Vice President of the college unit conducted the proceedings of the tribute programme. Sandeep Charak, Secretary ABVP, while speaking on the occasion said that Dr Ambedkar worked for upliftment of the backward sections of the society and took numerous steps in this regard. “His objective was social equality and ABVP is also working in the same direction,” Charak added, saying that ABVP follows the foot marks of Dr Ambedkar from the day of it’s foundation, and that is why the ABVP throughout the country marks the death anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar as “Social Equality Day”. He said that in 2018 ABVP across the country conducted Social Equality Day Programmes at 1,917 places in which the participation was 3,01,371.ABVP is also making small steps for achieving bigger goal of developing social conciousness. He further said that Dr Ambedkar was against Article 370 as it deprived rights to Valmikis and ABVP also stood on the same side. The abrogation of Article 370 is real tribute to the Babasaheb on his 63rd Death Anniversary.
