STATE TIMES NEWS SRINAGAR: On the 12th day of Shri Amarnath Yatra, 7,485 Yatris paid obeisance and, till date, 1,45,204 Yatris had Darshan of the Ice-Lingam at the Shrine. In the wee hours, at about 4:30 AM, a Mini Bus, carrying Yatris met with an accident. On the directions of Governor N.N Vohra, Chairman of Shrine Board, the CEO, P.K Tripathi, spoke to the Secretary Health Department and secured immediate medical attention for all the injured persons. Jitendra Kumar Singh, Additional CEO, visited the injured in the hospitals and made all necessary arrangements for their food and other requirements. The Governor asked CEO to arrange for the injured pilgrims being sent home by air, as soon as they are discharged. The next of kin of those who died have also been contacted and all support is being organised.
