5 gamblers arrested, stake money recovered

SAMBA: Police on Saturday arrested 5 gamblers at Vijaypur and recovered stake money amounting to Rs 15,000 from their possession. Acting on specific information regarding gambling, a team from Police Station Vijaypur raided a gambling spot in its jurisdictional area at Jakh, Vijaypur and arrested 5 gamblers along with stake money amounting to Rs 15,000 with 3 sets of playing cards.
The gamblers were identified as Dinesh Singh, son of Kabala Singh, resident of Jakh-Channi, Vijaypur; Romesh Lal, son of Lajja Ram, resident of Bandrali, Ramgarh; Kamal Singh, son of Rattan Singh, resident of Trilokpur, Vijaypur; Dilawar Hussain, son of Sher Mohd, resident of Dhamore-Jakh, Vijaypur and Pritam Singh, son of Shatter Singh, resident of Channi, Vijaypur. All the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at Police Station Vijaypur.
