SAMBA: Police on Wednesday
arrested a bike lifter and recovered four stolen bikes from his possession in
two separate theft cases registered at Police Station Samba.
As per the details, on February
12, 2020, a written complaint was lodged by Ajay Kumar, son of Kewal Krishan, resident of W. No. 6 Bari
Brahmana, regarding theft of his bike (JK02AP-9060) from the gate of his
relative’s house situated at Barian in jurisdiction of Police Post Supwal. On this, a case vide FIR No. 30/2020 under Section
379 IPC was registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started to nab
the bike lifter.
During the course of investigation, a team of Police Post
Supwal rounded up suspects and finally Mustaq Ali, son of Sher Ali, resident of
Pangore Tehsil Marh District Jammu confessed about his involvement in lifting
of aforesaid bike from Barian area.
During cross examination of the accused, three more bikes
were recovered from his possession out of which one Motorcycle (Glamour) was
stolen from near Laxmi Palace Bus Stand Samba for which a case vide FIR No.
29/2020 under section 379 RPC was also registered at Police Station Samba on
the written complaint of one Sunil Dutt, son of Gangadhar, resident of Ghagwal District Samba regarding theft of his

CrPC and further investigation is going on.
