Police recovered 40 kg poppy straw and
17 grams heroin from two narcotic

The accused driver namely Gagandeep Singh, son of Mastan Singh, resident of Ludhiana along with Amandeep Singh, son of Ram,
resident of Ludhiana Punjab were
arrested on spot.
A case vide FIR
No. 46/2020 under Sections 8/15 NDPS Act was registered against them at Police Station
Meanwhile, at the aforesaid Naka one suspected person was caught
and taken into custody. During his personnel search, 10 gm of heroin like
substance was recovered. The narcotic smuggler namely Mohammad Majid, son of Jamal
Din, resident of Thard, Udhampur was
arrested on the spot and a case vide FIR No. 50/2020 Under sections 8/21/22
NDPS Act was registered against him at Police
Pertinently, the accused person was also wanted in case FIR No.
73/2004 under Sections 298-A, 298-C, 295-A and 109 RPC and 3/181 M.V.Act of Police
In another case, police laid Naka at Circular Road, Udhampur for
checking of vehicles and stopped one suspected person who was on his own way to
Udhampur market on foot. During his search, 7 gm of heroin (Chitta) was
recovered. The accused namely Jeevan Singh, son of Koka Ram, resident of Kanah,
Ramnagar was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 47/2020 under Sections 8 and 21
NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Udhampur.
