SAMBA/UDHAMPUR: Police on Wednesday
foiled two bovine smuggling bids by rescuing 32 bovines and arresting three smugglers.
As per the details, a party of Police Station Ghagwal while
performing vehicle checking duty at Naka NH Tapyal intercepted a truck (PB035Q-8230)
which was coming from Kathua side and moving towards Valley.
During checking, four cattle were found laden in it which
were rescued. The vehicle used for transporting the bovines without any
permission was seized on spot. A case vide
FIR No. 17/2020 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act was registered at Police
Rehambal Police during Naka intercepted a truck and rescued 28 bovines which
were laden in it. Three smugglers namely Satpal, Amjad Khan and Arshad Ali were
detained and a case under relevant sections of law was registered against them.
