State Times News RAJOURI/UDHAMPUR: Police on Wednesday foiled three separate bovine smuggling bids by rescuing 32 bovines and arresting 5 smugglers. As per details, a team from Kalakote Police Station headed by SHO Sanjay Raina intercepted a person, Mohammad Farid, son of Nazir Ahmed, resident of Saranoo, who was trying to smuggle bovines from Godhar Maal. 8 bovines were rescued from his possession and a case vide FIR No. 59/20 under relevant sections of law has been registered against the bovine smuggler. Similarly, a team from Manjakote Police Station headed by SHO Pankaj Sharma intercepted a vehicle JK11D 4702 and recovered four bovines being smuggled in it. The driver of vehicle Mohammad Asif, son of Mohammad Hussain along with Mohammad Naseer, son of Mohammad Altaf were arrested by the police team and a case vide FIR No. 117/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Manjakote Police Station. Meanwhile, during routine Naka checking at Battal, a team from Police Station Majalta stopped a Canter (UP78CL 1641) and found it laden with 20 bovines which were rescued. Bovine smugglers namely Mohd Yasin, son of Mallu, resident of Dharampir Mohalla (UP) and Mohd Irfan, son of Sarfuddin, resident of Jalalabad, District Shamli (UP) were arrested on the spot and a case under relevant section of law was registered against them at Police Station Majalta.
