STATE TIMES NEWS HIRANAGAR/RAJOURI: Police on Friday rescued 30 bovines and arrested five smugglers at Kathua. As per the details, a team of Police Station Hiranagar during checking duty at NH near Dyalachak intercepted one truck (JK20A-4382) carrying 11 bovines which were rescued. Two notorious bovine smugglers namely Shahwaz Shrief, son of Mohd. Sadiq, resident of Shergund Sheikhpora Anantnag Kashmir and Mohd Qadoos, son of Mohq Iqbal, resident of Dingamb Hiranagar Kathua were arrested and a case vide FIR no. 63/2019 under sections 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act was registered against them. In an another action, a team of police post Chadwal during checking at NH near Seswan Morh intercepted one Mahindra load carrier (JK14E-0210) carrying two bovines which were rescued. Bovine smuggler namely Gansham, son of Shonka Ram, resident of Shwa Amb Gharota Tehsil Bhalwal , Jammu was arrested and a case vide FIR no.97/2019 under section 188 RPC was registered. Police seized both the vehicles and further investigation into both the case is going on. Meanwhile, Thannamndi Police during a Naka in the area intercepted a vehicle and found inladen with 17 bovines which were rescued. Two smugglers namely Zaffar Iqbal, resident of Budhal and Mohd Shafi, resident of Kotranka were arrested and a case under relevant section of law was registered against him.
