STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: JKP’s SOG achieved a major success by recovering 2,500 bottles of banned drug concealed in boxes by two narco smugglers in a truck here near Stadium Morh Channi -Himmat on Tuesday. The accused have been identified as Sajad Ahmed Dar, son of Ghulam Ahmed and Marfat Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohd, resident of Dongri Pura Pulwama, Kashmir. Reports said that sleuths of SOG Jammu with a police party of Police Station Channi-Himmat laid a special Naka near Stadium Morh Channi -Himmat Jammu and during checking intercepted a truck (JK03B -9015) which was on its way from Punjab towards Srinagar. During search of the vehicle, cops recovered 145 bottles of Codedyl, 2025 bottles of Welcyrex and 330 bottles of Maxcoff in total 2500 bottles (Banned drug) concealed in boxes kept in specially designed chambers inside the vehicle. Cops seized the vehicle and arrested the driver and conductor of the truck. A case vide FIR No. 191/2019 under Sections 8, 21, 22, 29 and 60 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Channi Himmat. The whole operation was monitored closely by SSP SOG Jammu Sandeep Mehta and supervised by SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
