STATE TIMES NEWS Srinagar: Two unidentified terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces in Kulgam district on Saturday, police said. During the intervening night of May 29/30, 2020, on a specific input generated by Kulgam Police, a cordon and search operation was launched jointly by Kulgam Police, 01 RR and CRPF 18 Bn at Wanpora Khudwani area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. During the search operation, the hiding terrorists fired on the joint search party. The fire was retaliated leading to an encounter. In the ensuing encounter, two terrorists were killed and their bodies were retrieved from the site of encounter. The identification and affiliation of the killed terrorists is being ascertained. Incriminating material including arms & ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter. All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation and to probe their complicity in other terror crimes. In this connection case FIR No. 30/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Qaimoh and investigation has been initiated.
