15 doctors terminated from services

JAMMU: Taking note of continuous absence of doctors from duty, the Health & Medical Education (HME) Department on Friday terminated the services of one Consultant and 14 Medical Officers (MOs).
“The Directors, Health Services, Jammu on January 17, 2020 has forwarded the list/details of 22 doctors (3 consultants and 19 Medical Officers) who are unauthorizedly absent from duties and had already served show cause notices to these un-authorizedly absent doctors for pursuing higher studies outside the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir without prior permission from the competent authority,” reads the order issued by Atal Dulloo, Financial Commissioner Health & Medical Education Department.
“The reply of the erring doctor was examined in the department and on February 28, 2020, Amit Sharma Administrator, Associated Hospitals, Government Medical Colleges, Jammu was appointed as Inquiry Officer to enquire into the charges framed against aforesaid 22 doctors.” it stated and added “Inquiry Officer on March 24, 2020 has furnished the detailed enquiry report on the basis of inquiry report and in view of the rule position governing the subject, the case has been examined thoroughly in the department and it has been decided to remove the services of the 15 doctors who did not resume their duties and remain unauthorizedly absent from duties.”
Therefore, it added, in provision of Article 128 of J&K Civil Service Regulations Volume-I, the un-authorizedly absent 15 doctors are hereby terminated and they are discharged from the Government Services. They are Consultant Pediatric Dr. Sushil Sharma and Medical Officers Dr. Mukesh Kumar Sharma, Dr. Ravinder Singh, Dr. Jahangir Ahmed Naseem, Dr. Immia Bukhari, Dr. Rakesh Bhat, Dr. Deepak Bharti, Dr. Maneesh Kumar Sharma, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Dr. Raj Kumar, Dr. Rajinder Kumar, Dr. Mehroz Ahmed, Dr. Anil Kumar Parihar, Dr. Gagan Deep Singh and Dr. Anupma Bavouria.
