STATE TIMES NEWS Leh: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, CMO Leh received 1 positive sample reports from PGIMER Chandigarh. Whereas, 19 patients in home isolation from Leh while 12 patients in home isolation, 2 from COVID Hospital Kargil and 2 from COVID Care Centre Kargil were discharged today after their negative sample reports were received by CMO Leh and CMO Kargil respectively. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh came down to 259; 93 in Leh district and 166 in Kargil district and that the condition of all 259 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable. The bulletin further reported that Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Leh received 7 negative sample reports and CMO Kargil received 40 negative sample reports from PGIMER Chandigarh and 7 samples required retesting. Today 59 samples were sent by CMO Leh to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing. 44 passengers and 160 drivers and helpers of 108 trucks /tankers and light motors vehicles were screened at Khaltsi Check post yesterday. The vehicles were also sanitized. The Health workers at Upshi check post screened 142 passengers yesterday, which include drivers and helpers of 47 tankers, 18 trucks and 9 light motor vehicles.
