SUNDERBANI: A group of youth travelling in a Safari stopped two youths of another community in Sunderbani market and assaulted and thrashed them in full public view on Friday. The victims were on their way to Thanda Pani on a bike.
The people came to their rescue and released them from the clutches of attackers. The gangsters threatened them if they complained to the police.
The victims have been identified as Sandeep Singh (24) son of late Surjit Singh and Gurjinder Singh (17) son of Ranjeet Singh both residents of Sunderbani. Police on the basis of a complaint from both nabbed the assaulters identified as Govind Sharma son of Subash Sharma and Vikrant Kumar both residents of village Madwal, Sunderbani while eight others who were travelling in car managed to escape.
Meanwhile the people in large number have reached the Police Station Sunderbani demanding immediate arrest of the remaining eight persons.
