JAMMU: With a view to keep the teachers abreast with the latest techniques of teaching, JK Public School Kunjwani conducted workshop on ‘Innovative Ideas in Education and Personality Development’ for the teachers. Almost 150 teachers of the school attended this workshop. The aim of the workshop was personality development of the teachers, enhance their teaching skills and to equip them with the changing pedagogical approaches. The first session on ‘Innovative ideas in Education’ was taken by S.K Singh, Master Trainer CBSE and Principal JK Public School. During the session he focused on bringing new changes in classroom activities and programmes. He taught various parameters to handle classroom situation and the latest eight innovative ideas which include creative thinking, use of audio and visual tools, real world learning, story board teaching, stimulating classroom situation, mind mapping and brain storming. The second session on ‘Personality Development’ was taken by Brigadier Sukhdev Singh, Director of JK Education Society, wherein he stressed on personality of a teacher, discipline, perfection, confidence, knowledge of subject and environment, and to concentrate on what is positive.
The workshop was well appreciated by one and all. Both the session were highly innovative and incorporated various aspects of effective teaching and personality development that would help the faculty to prove to be good facilitators in the classrooms.
