STATE TIMES NEWS KATRA: The inaugural session of one-week workshop on ‘Human Values and Professional Ethics’ organised by the Faculty Development Centre (FDC) under PMMMNMTT scheme of MHRD, Govt. of India was held at Sanskriti Kaksha, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU). The inaugural session was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) D. Mukhopadhyay, Coordinator FDC and Dean Faculty of Management. Dr. Balbir Singh, Associate Professor, and coordinator of the workshop delivered the welcome address. Dr. Singh stated that the breakdown of human integrity leads to personal, social and environmental problems. Human values and professional ethics are required for harmonious and peaceful coexistence. Sanjeev Chopra, resource person of the workshop emphasized that the idea that human beings should live a happy, prosperous and fearless life has been around with for centuries. Prof. Mukhopadhyay said that human values and professional ethics is the code of conduct which guides us in our daily life. The inaugural session was attended by Dr. Madhu Mangal, Co-Coordinator and others associated with FDC along with the faculty members of SMVDU.
