STATE TIMES NEWS KATHUA: A woman absconder who was involved in alleged murder case on Saturday surrendered before court and applied for bail which was denied. As per the details, Jyoti Devi, wife of Rakesh Kumar, resident of Hiranagar accused in case FIR No. 107/2018 under section 304B/306 RPC Police Station Hiranagar who was absconding since July 15, 2018 surrendered in the Court of Principal Sessions Judge Kathua and applied for grant of bail. However, the Court declined the bail and charged her for the commission of offence under section 306/498-A/34 RPC and remanded her to judicial custody in the District Jail Kathua. The case was put up for February 8, 2020. The accused along with her three other associates have involved for killing of one Ritika, a Govt. lecturer, daughter of Balak Ram, resident of Dhalli, Tehsil Hiranagar and district Kathua as a case of dowry death, harassment and cruelty.
