STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta expressed his serious resolve to make Rajouri a clean and a green city. Taking this mission forward MLC Vibodh along with Mohamad Arif, President Rajouri Municipality today handedover a TATA Mobile Garbage collection vehicle to the sanitary wing of Municipal Committee Rajouri. The well equipped vehicle has been provided with a cost of Rs. 8.13 lakh through convergence of Rs. 4 lakh from CDF of MLC Vibodh Gupta. Speaking on the occasion MLC reiterated his strong resolve to make Rajouri a model town of State. This he said is possible only through active involvement of locals. Giving details about various Government programmes, specially Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, Vibodh said that such programmes show the seriousness of the Government towards cleanliness. However, the success of such programmes depends on the level of involvement of a common citizen in ensuring proper implementation of such schemes. Vibodh further added that Government can only create proper infrastructure and it is upto the citizens how to use such infrastructure responsibly. Highlighting the importance of cleanliness Vibodh said that no civilisation of the world can prosper without ensuring cleanliness. Vibodh also highlighted the fact that Rajouri town is located at a very strategic location of the state and is easily accessible both from Jammu as well as from Kashmir. This he said is a great opportunity to make Rajouri a hub for tourism activities. For this he calledupon everyone to make contribution to make Rajouri a clean and a green town which is prerequisite for promoting tourism in the area. While referring to the new garbage collection vehicle, Vibodh said that this is another step towards cleanliness efforts in Rajouri town. President Rajouri Muncipal Committee Mohamad Arif, Vice President of Rajouri Muncipal Committee, Bharat Bhushan Vaid, Ex President Rajouri Municipality Rajinder Gupta, Dinesh Sharma, Vijay Gupta, Atam Gupta, Subash Sharma, Darbar Choudhary, Kamal Bakshi, Ashwani Kichar, Sanjay Dutt, Vikas Dutta, Koushal Gupta and councillors of municipal committee Rajouri were also present.
