During the meeting, Vibodh discussed a wide range of issues related to Jammu and Kashmir with the senior leader. Vibodh briefed Ram Madhav about various party related issues in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch and party prospects in ensuing Assembly elections. He informed Madhav that at present, the party is on its ‘all time high’ in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. Vibodh further informed that many prominent leaders from other various regional parties are joining BJP, as local population is linking its future with the vision and mission of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Majority of local population of Pahari Muslims and Gujjars in the area are reposing faith on BJP and it is the only reason that party is strengthening its base in every nook and corner of the area, he added. With such an upbeat atmosphere in favour of BJP, Vibodh assured the National General Secretary that BJP will definitely win 5 seats from the twin border districts of the State. While giving details about party’s membership campaign, Vibodh informed that the membership drive has received a tremendous response from locals, specially from Muslim youth of the area. Giving remarks on the brief from MLC, Ram Madhav said that he is very pleased to note that party is making a strong presence in twin border districts of the State. This, he said, is very important for ensuring that BJP comes to power in the State with a strong mandate from people of all the regions. He advised the MLC to put more and more efforts for strengthening the party at grass root level. He also asked MLC to keep a close eye on various development initiatives in the region besides ensuring that poor and marginalised communities of the area are benefitted from various Government schemes. The MLC also invited Ram Madhav to plan a extensive tour for Rajouri and Poonch, as it will boost the morale of party workers besides further strengthening the party in the area. Ram Madhav agreed to the MLC’s proposal and said that he would soon plan a visit to Rajouri and Poonch.
