STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU:Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) has announced Rs 17 lakh award for the players and officials after the team won silver medal in the 3rd Asian Men’s Under-23 Volleyball Championship held at Myanmar. “The team of which J&K’s Saqlain Tariq was part, shall get prize money from the VFI. The players and officials shall be getting Rs 1 lakh each as prize money,” Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Volleyball Association of J&K, Kuldeep Magotra said. Earlier, the prize was announced by President of the VFI, S. Vasudevan and General Secretary, Ramavtar Singh Jakhar. India squad: Saqlain Tariq Khan, Shaun T John, Amit, Gagan Kumar, Chirag, Himanshu, Muthusamy Appavu, Prince, Sonu Kumar Jakhar, Shikhar Singh, Ashwin Raj, Hariprasad B Suresha. Pritam Singh Chauhan (Chief Coach), Ram Prasad Tailor (Assistant Coach), K. Abdul Nazer (Assistant Coach) and Mahender Singh Saharan (Referee) and Naresh Kumar Pathak (Manager). Meanwhile, Patron-in-Chief of Volleyball Association J&K (VAJK), Raj Daluja, President, Sidharth Daluja, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Kuldeep Magotra and other office bearers congratulated the team India and VFI for winning silver medal in the Asian Championship.
