STATE TIMES NEWS DODA: Violent Cricket Club Latti (VCCL) Udhampur beat Youth for Peace Cricket Club (YPCC) Kishtwar by five wickets in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2019 being organised by Young Star Cricket Club Doda at Sports Stadium, here on Wednesday. Earlier batting first after winning the toss, YPCC Kishtwar set a total of 88 runs for the loss of ten wickets in 15.3 overs. Rafiq was the top scorer with 26 while Umar Iqbal made 21. For VCCL Udhampur, Sajid Koka picked three wickets while Atta Mohd, Aabid Kanth and Tahir Malik claimed one wicket each. Chasing the target, VCCL Udhampur chase the target making 89 runs in 12.5 overs for the loss of five wickets. Tanveer Malik made 34 runs while Sahil Sajan and Aabid Kanth scored 15 and 14 runs respectively. For YPCC Kishtwar, Nishat Ahmed grabbed two wickets while Aaqib, Rafiq and Umar Iqbal picked one wicket each. Aabid Kanth of Violent Cricket Club Latti, Udhampur was declared the Man of the Match for his all-round performance. He was given prize by Chief Guest, Abdul Majeed Bichoo, President of Senior Citizen Council for Peace and Communal Harmony, Kishtwar. Today’s march was officiated by Irshad Malik and Harish Raza as Umpires and Sandeep Kaushik as Scorer. Chief Organiser of the Tournament, Irfan Ali Butt informed that the first two matches of the day would have been postponed due to inclement bad weather conditions whereas only one match was played today.
