JAMMU: Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, Chancellor of the University, here on Wednesday.
Prof. Jain briefed the Governor about several important academic and administrative matters relating to the University’s functioning.
Meanwhile, Mian Altaf Ahmad, Member J&K Legislative Assembly from Kangan also met the Governor and held extensive discussions regarding the obtaining challenges facing the State and the various major developmental issues which require high priority attention, particularly road connectivity and power generation.
Governor and Altaf also discussed issues relating to arrangements for the conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2018, in the context of the projected construction of the approach road to the Western Portal of the Zojila tunnel.
Governor appreciated Mian Altaf’s concerns and urged him to continue sustained efforts for promoting harmony and people’s welfare in his area.
