JAMMU: Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), called on Governor N.N. Vohra, Chancellor of the University, here
Prof. Jain briefed the Governor about the progress achieved in the past months in the academic, administrative and infrastructural development arenas and the initiatives presently underway.
Governor stressed on Prof. Jain the vital importance of varied initiatives being taken to attract the best persons to fill Faculty positions and, side by side, upgrading the level of admissions to various courses and ensuring that there was no gap whatsoever in the quality of teaching and sharp focus being maintained on the implementation of relevant research projects.
Governor advised Prof. Jain to expedite work on the establishment of adequate hostel and indoor sports and extra-curricular facilities and for students in the highest performance brackets being admitted to various programmes.
