STATE TIMES NEWS THAPKOUR: Vaishno Group of Colleges (VGC), with an aim to ensure all round development of the student community, on Friday conducted its seventh annual mega event Techno Mania 2019. The technical-cum-cultural festival of Vaishno Group of Colleges was successfully held at the college premises where a wave of excitement spread when students from various colleges participated with full zest and zeal. Techno Mania proved to be a golden opportunity for students to exhibit their talent in technical events like robotics, computer programming, project display, technical quiz and paper presentation. The cultural and art events include declamation, Rangoli, poster making, dance, orchestra and mimes. Apart from the fun and frolic, the students were education on the career prospects in science and technology through the “Information Centre”, a dedicated database of career opportunities for engineering and diploma graduates. On the occasion, Chief Guest, Dean Academic, Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, Prof. Kulbhushan Chandel who has an excellent Academic background in Commerce and Management with several outstanding achievements as a Teacher, Researcher and as an Administrator, Guests of Honour, Ranjeet Pathania and Sunil Gupta along with Managing Directors Varun Gupta and Rahul Pathania distributed the prizes to the event winners. Director Lt Col A.K Khajuria, Shivam Pathania, Ankush Gupta, Asha Pathania, Ritu Gupta, Muskan Pathania, Richa Gupta, Himani Gupta and Tammana Thakur were also present. The star of the evening was the popular Punjabi singer, Mankirat Aulakh, who stole the show by his latest Punjabi tracks. Students danced their heart off on the star’s rocking numbers and cheers echoed all over. Techno Mania 2019 thus came to an end with a cheerful note, successfully for the seventh time at Vaishno College of Engineering.
