All India Inter State Championship concludes
STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Two-day All India Inter State Championship organised by Sports Development Board India (SDBI) concluded on Sunday with a football match played at Jammu University ground, here. In football match, Uttarakhand outplayed J&K in a well contested final. President Power Twenty Cricket Federation of India, Deepu Ranotra and Chief Patron SDBI Dalbir Singh Chib were the Special Guests in the closing ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Ranotra and Chib asked youth to refrain themselves from the menace of drugs and take part in sports activities to remain fit and healthy. SDBI Chairman, Ajay Sharma said, “We always try to bring youth into mainstream and such events play important role to take youth into right way.” “We will also organise an open district cricket tournament in Jammu & Kashmir on the pattern of IPL,” he added. State President SDBI Gourav Arora presented the vote of thanks. Gourav also expressed thanks to Sat Pal Manjotra, Chairman Punjab SDBI for his presence in the programme. Ajay Sharma, Tinder Singh, Rohit Kumar, Harish Kumar and Daljit Singh were also present.
